HARMONY Components

HARMONY is composed of the following modules:

tri

Does consistency checks on MSMS surfaces. Reports genus and triangle statistics, and prunes small triangles.

tmap

Maps surface to a sphere.

makemap

Computes rectangular integration grid in spherical coordinates.

fitsurf

Computes spherical harmonic expansion coefficients using integration grid.

mksurf

Computes spherical harmonic surfaces from coefficients.

Auxiliary tools not part of HARMONY include:

msms

Computes molecular surfaces from atom coordinates and atom radii.

AVS

The data-flow visualization system from AVS Inc.

AVStool

A programmable Perl interface to AVS.

AVStk

An experimental implementation of AVStool in TCL/TK. (Many thanks to Joel O. Yng for the initial translation.)

mkavsheader

An AWK script to generate AVS field header files from HARMONY output.
