Jane Richarson revolutionized the analysis of protein architecture with her Anatomy and Taxonomy of Protein Structure. The ribbon diagram has since become one of the indispensable tools of the structural scientist. Triose P Isomerase and g Crystallin are two hand colored examples of her ribbon diagrams.
