19. Microuniverse II
Betty Rothaus creates artwork that uses transmitted and
reflected light to create a luminous image.
Betty Rothaus writes about "Microunverse II": "This triptych
explores the creation of energy and matter and at what
point their evolution into molecules and more complex
structures began to contain 'life.' It celebrates the beauty
and complexity of natural forms and processes and the
binding force that makes all this possible. My solar light
sculptures are structures that interact with light and energy,
a metaphor for the human spirit. Like our bodies, the
vessel is made of material substance which holds
something quite timeless and beyond form."
