Ok, I give up.

I really need to install this on my iMac but I am not able too. I have very little knowledge on terminal but I am not a beginner and I was not able to install the plugin with the stand alone installer neither the traditional way.

Is it something to do with Lion? In the installation guide there is a reference to Lion but still can't get it to work.
I re-check the permissions, but nothing seems to work. I was only able to install MGLTools a i86Darwin Latest build successfully.

Can anyone please help me make this work??


EDIT: Ok, I get it to work at least in 32 bit version. Is it working on 64-bit Lion OSX by now?

Maybe I can help with some test. Cinema 4d on 32 bit runs ok. When its on 64-bit the plugin is recognized and loaded. But when I click to it, just opens a grey (blank) pop-up window on Cinema 4d and then nothing else. The program does not crashes.

Sorry for the double post. It is happen to the plugin with Lion, since assuming that it already works with Snow Leopard. So I assume is a bug.

you need to go to /Users/tangucho/Library/Preferences/MAXON/CINEMA 4D R13_DA28FA2D/plugins/ePMV/mgl64/MGLToolsPckgs/
check for a folder called bhtree, and fix the permission on this folder...
this should fix it

Thank you very much for your help. This is such a piece of software that you´ve got here. As I told you, I would even pay thousand dollars for a software of this quality AND support. You just make my first steps into Cinema 4D much much more easy and fun. Now I am able to integrate science into Cinema 4D with almost any effort. It makes want to explore it more and more.
I had a problem with installation and I was afraid that this being a freeware made by researchers the support will take too long to come if ever. I was wrong. I received a fantastic support from the ePMV team that solve my issue almost immediately. Several software companies should learn from this kind of support.
I totally support free software and open code, so people like you keeps my faith on freedom of information very much alive.
