Hello,

I have compiled Autodock 4.2 as native 64 bit application on Windows Intel x64 machine. I believe this will speed up calculations on x64 CPUs. I would like to ask other users to help me testing the resulting applications so that:
1. We can be sure that results are the same as delivered by old 32 application.
2. We can estimate speed improvements.

Please note, that if we can find speed improvements, we could suggest applying the same 64 bit compilation to the new Vina product, to speed it up even further.

I would be happy to provide the compiled application as well as explain how to compile it in native 64 bit on Windows machine.

Regards,
Wojciech

Could somebody from scripps give me access to the autodock wiki, so I can add page describing how to compile autodock as native windows 64 bit application?

Thank you,
Wojciech

We have recompiled autodock for 64-bit on Intel linux2 and see 15-20 percent speed-up.
As expected and as found for Itanium the results are not identical to those obtained from 32-bit compilation.
The results are neither better nor worse, just different in energy because of the stochastic-nature of the algorithm.

I am trying to run Autodock but can't get it to start up. I've downloaded the latest version for Windows 32 bit. I have a 64 bit PC and was wondering if the 32 bit is incompatible on my computer and that is why it doesn't run. When I go to the directory and double click on the exe file I get a brief flash of the C: directory and then nothing shows. I saw that there was a compiled 64 bit version on this blog but where can I find this and is this the problem?
Any help is appreciated.
Bea
