Post subject:  How to scale up/down a molecule (CPK as well)?

It's very likely a silly question, but it kept bothering me. Whenever a molecule is loaded into the scene, it's always huge. In order to make it fit with the rest of the scene, I'll select the empty object and scale it down. However, if I turn on the CPK (atom) representation, it's that huge again, and the CPK object (also the empty object) doesn't respond to scale command. Many thanks in advance.
