I have installed all components following the instructions and I have a message saying that it is installed but after I restart Cinema 4d the plug-in isn't showing up. I have a screen shoot attached. There is something in the Plugin Manager that is showing that is epmv_c4d_plugin there but it still doesn't show up on Python/Plugins/ePMV. Please help. I am 3d medical/scientific animator and I would like to test this plugin and hopefully use it(buy it) in the future.

Thank you

Hi I am sorry that it didnt get throught,
the installation for C4d consist in:
-patch MGLToolspckgs for python2.6
-patch python for cinema4d to be able to import c compiled library
-copy the plugin in the c4d plugin directory

It appear that one of this step didn't went well. In order to check which one you need to check some directories.
check the C:\Program Files (x86)\MGLToolsPckgs and see if there is a file name "patched", and if you can see some *py2.6.egg file
secondly check your C4D folder. C:\Program Files\CINEMA 4D R12\resource\module\python\res\ find the python.framework and check if its patched too. You should see Python.win32.framework.original and Python.win32.framework.

Hi,

I have the exact same problem described above.

I think the problem is that I am not getting MGLToolspckgs patched up to 2.6.

I continue to see *py2.5.egg files instead of *py2.6.egg files after having run the install_plugin.py script from within Cinema 4D.

Can I de-install Python, MGLToolspckgs etc. and try again?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Hi,

you can try to use our standalone package, that will also let you understand the installation on windows.
check here :
http://epmv.scripps.edu/download-install-free/perhost
you can download everything at once, the zip file contains ePMV, PMV and the python patch for C4D on windows.

if you need any help let me know.
