Post subject:  Can We Distinguish in CIS and trans fats molecules?

In unsaturated fat molecules, i know that, but there is always double bonds between two carbon atoms. but therefore i am little confused and cant distinguished between them.

The chains of carbon atoms are on the same side of the double bond for the CIS fat
