Help "Error on Running Remote Mode Using PyRx"

Postby Shirley » Wed Nov 04, 2015 10:35 am

Hi,

Get below error when run remote mode using PyRx:
" Failed to connect to http://kryptonite.nbcr.net/opal2/services
<urlopen error [Errno 10060] A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond> "

My PyRx product version is 0.8 and using window 8. I get above error when try to run autodock wizard. Seem like this website is not the correct website as i try to access. Besides that, the web services provided by the National Biomedical Computation Resouce : http://ws.nbcr.net is also not available and cannot access Therefore, can someone kindly provide the website link so that i can use the remote mode? Thank you very much :)

regards,

Thank you for the message and sorry about that. These services are currently running at http://nbcr-222.ucsd.edu/opal2/dashboar ... erviceList

You can also install and run AutoDock locally. I've included AutoDock with PyRx-0.9.2 and also updated PyRx source code so that it can work with updated versions of web services.

I don't know if changing web services URI would make it work in PyRx 0.8. That's why I recommend getting PyRx 0.9.2, which includes many important updates and fixes.

Dear Sargis,

Thank you for your kindly reply and provide the correct website :) I will try on that.
I know that AutoDock can run locally. However, i have also try local mode but unsuccessful because got error before having any docking results.
I did not use PyRx-0.9.2 is because this version is not free to download. Even though this version is better, however, it need to purchase then only can use. Cannot afford to pay for the purchase, therefore only choose to download the free lastest version which is PyRx 0.8.
