Pyrx 0.9 x86 on Fedora 20 32bits

Postby oivalf_nix » Tue Jul 15, 2014 9:53 pm

Hi Sargis,
I have two questions:
The first question is: I am trying to install PyRx-0.9-Linux-x86-Install on Linux Fedora 20 x86 (32 bits) as instructions on the web site.
The following error appears:

[root@localhost Downloads]# ./PyRx-0.9-Linux-x86-Install
invalid command name "bind"
while executing
"::unknown bind Text <Tab>"
("uplevel" body line 1)
invoked from within
"uplevel 1 $next $args"
(procedure "::obj::Unknown" line 3)
invoked from within
"bind Text <Tab>"
(procedure "::InstallJammer::InitializeGui" line 19)
invoked from within
"::InstallJammer::InitializeGui "
(procedure "::InstallJammer::InitInstall" line 63)
invoked from within
"::InstallJammer::InitInstall"
(file "/installkitvfs/main.tcl" line 38527)
[root@localhost Downloads]#

Is there any library missing?

The second question is: Which is the best 64 bits Linux distribution to run PyRx-0.9.2-linux_x86_64-install (Centos, Ubuntu, RH...) ?
In spite all the corrections you instruct me for Fedora 20 64 bits (older posts), I still having problems in analysing PyRx docking results in this distribution.

Please make sure PyRx-0.9-Linux-x86-Install downloaded completely and you have X11 desktop installed.

The est 64 bits Linux distribution to run PyRx-0.9.2-linux_x86_64-install is CentOS 6.5.

Could you please send me the link to this older post (Fedora 20 64 bits). I'm can't seem to find it.

Thank you for using PyRx!

Hi Sargis,

The X11 library is already installed:
[root@localhost Downloads]# yum install libX11.i686
Loaded plugins: langpacks, refresh-packagekit
Package libX11-1.6.1-1.fc20.i686 already installed and latest version
Nothing to do

And the software was completely downloaded.
The problem still appearing:

[root@localhost Downloads]# chmod +x PyRx-0.9-Linux-x86-Install
[root@localhost Downloads]# ./PyRx-0.9-Linux-x86-Install
invalid command name "bind"
while executing
"::unknown bind Text <Tab>"
("uplevel" body line 1)
invoked from within
"uplevel 1 $next $args"
(procedure "::obj::Unknown" line 3)
invoked from within
"bind Text <Tab>"
(procedure "::InstallJammer::InitializeGui" line 19)
invoked from within
"::InstallJammer::InitializeGui "
(procedure "::InstallJammer::InitInstall" line 63)
invoked from within
"::InstallJammer::InitInstall"
(file "/installkitvfs/main.tcl" line 38527)
[root@localhost Downloads]#

Hi Sargis.

I replaced my operating system Fedora20_64 for CentOS 7 64bits and reinstall PyRx-0.9.2-linux-x86_64-install
After installed, I check for updates and restart Pyrx

I am facing the same problem again: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2675

I want to to check the different poses of the same ligand, but all of them becames overlaped at display tab (3D scene tab).
I unselect them at Molecules tab (left) but they still overlaped at 3D scene tab.

It makes impossible to know which pose are being displayed.

I am waiting for suggestions,

regards,

Hi Flavio,

Sorry for the late reply. I have setup CentOS 7 64bits virtual machine and I see that the problem with overlapping molecules is fixed after applying updates. Would you please let me know if you have installed and updated PyRx as root or as a regular user? If I get a guest account on this machine I can try to troubleshoot this.

You can also apply updates using the following commands:

Code: Select all
rm -rf ~/.PyRx_workspace/update
cd $PYRX_HOME/lib64/python2.6/site-packages/PyRx
svn update

where $PYRX_HOME is the folder where PyRx is installed.

Thank you,
Sargis
