Running PyRx locally

Postby wolf » Wed Jul 15, 2009 7:41 pm

I'd like to run PyRx on my local Linux box but under "Autodock Execution Mode" only "Remote(Opal Web Services)" is active and selected. The other options, "Local" and "Cluster" are grayed out and inactive. I already have the Autodock 4 executables installed on the local drive. How can I use the "Local" option?
Thank you.

Thanks for the message Wolf. If autodock4 is in your PATH then PyRx should be able to pick it up. Otherwise, you can specify autodock4 location by using Edit -> Preferences... menu. PyRx is using a command similar to 'which' command, and if it can't find autodock4, "Local" mode is grayed out. Similarly "Cluster" mode is enabled when you have PBS (squb) installed.

Please let me know if you have questions or need more information. Thanks!

I located the .exe files for autodock4 and autogrid and put the path name in the preferences option, however when I try to run PyRx locally I receive this error message:

11:23:54: Error running C:\cw\i86Cygwin\autogrid4.exe -p 1YCRwoP53.gpf -l 1YCRwoP53.glg
11:23:54: Working Directory: C:\Documents and Settings\adawood2\.mgltools\PyRx\Macromolecules\1YCRwoP53
11:23:54: Stderr: Access is denied.

Any help will be appreciated

In order to troubleshoot this problem please cd to Working Directory and run autogrid4.exe form there. I Googled "Access is denied" and found the following page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810881. See also Re: How can I find the mistake. Thanks.
