Thanks for the Traceback. Please run yum install glib2 as root and let me know if this solves the problem.

What is glib version on your system? On my machine (FC11) I'm getting

Code: Select all
> pkg-config --modversion glib-2.0
2.20.5

You can also install wxpython, remove PyRx/lib/wx-2.8 and see if that fixes the problem.

Thanks for the info. I just checked the following thread http://www.nabble.com/evolution-2.21.92 ... 15395.html and it seems that you need to have 2.15 or higher for this to work. I found also this I Do Linux: Enthought Tool Suite Build on 64-bit Red Hat / CentOS 5. It seems a lot of work to have all these packages working under CentOS 5. I'd recommend creating Fedora 10 or 11 (or latest Ubuntu) machine (real or virtual) and try PyRx there.

Please also try http://pyrx.scripps.edu/download/0.0/Py ... x86.tar.gz which is on older version of PyRx. I needed to install 32-bit libSDL and sqlite (ignore tar error messages).

I've created new installer that should be able to work on redhat and centos 5.0. After encountering the same problem on centos 5.2, I used binaries that I build on RHEL 4 before I upgraded to Fedora 10. These are the same binaries distributed in version 0.0; I just made some changes to PyRx source code to make sure its compatible with the changes done to other 3rd party packages.
