Good morning everyone

Vina, brilliant though it is, won't necessarily converge on the best solution, or any solution for that matter, if one is unlucky with seeding the random number generator.

Has anyone done any research on how many times one needs to run with different seeds to achieve a given statistical likelihood of finding the best solution in a given test scenario? How certain could one be if one ran 100 say, or 1000 times?

Thanks and keep up this good and important work!

Jim
