I have installed Autodock tools 1.5.4 version. It is running when i installed it for the first time, but when i close the Molecular window viewer, and then open again it is not loading. It is showing python loading 3% and then it does not load. However, if i reinstall it again, it loads. I have to reinstall it everytime. Can u suggest a reason?

Thanks
Bhaskar

Hi,

please try to install the RC3 version that should address many of the old bugs and be more stable.

Hope this helps,

Stefano

I don't have direct experience with VMware, but in general, the issue with virtual machine performance is the lack of (fast) 3D acceleration. AutoDockTools could slow down a bit when handling complex representations.

That said, AutoDock itself shouldn't have problems in running in a VM.

Happy dockings,

Stefano

Yes, I am running in a VM and it fares better than in Win Vista, though sometimes the processes do not run and I close and run again. Still there are good helpful people here in forum and it helps a lot :-)
